I just bought a 95' dodge neon and could use some help. I have aalready replace the fuel pump, fuel filter, exhaust and given it a tune up. Plugs, wires, etc. My problem is that every once in a while, while driving, the car will just bog down. Now before I could just down shift and it would pick back up, but now, it wont regain power. Once I pull over, shut the car off for about 10minutes and start up again, the problem is gone. Any help please. BTW, its a 5 speed manual transmission.

 

crank sensor. I've had several neons do the same thing or stall, shut off the car wait 10min or more and it starts right up and runs fine. even when the car died, the car still had spark and fuel pressure but wouldn't run. bad sensor was making spark random when it got hot. FWIW $40 for a new sensor isn't a bad price to take a stab at it.
