P0340- Camshaft Position Sensor Malfunction
This code can cause anything from loss of power to misfiring to hard/no start conditions. There are three main causes that should be checked in this order: Bad sensor wiring (grounded, shorted or broken wire(s)). A bad sensor (use a Mopar replacement). Very unlikely, but a bad PCM.
These cars freak the heck out whenever there is some sort of electrical problem. I've had my front tires "lock up" at 65 MPH because my transmission downshifted to 2nd (limp-in mode) due to a corroded battery cable. It wasn't really limp-in as there was no CEL, but it just freaked out. Then it started shutting off completely, no power to anything, then it would turn back on then back off...
