How much?
I want to sell my 2000 Dodge Neon, but idk what a good selling price would be. I'm not looking to get a lot (I know what I have), but I don't want to get ripped off either.
I bought this car for $500 at 132,*** miles. It is a 5 speed manual transmission. In the 2 years of driving and maintaining it, I am well over the purchase price, and is now at 153,*** miles. I have replaced and installed a new alternator, battery, exhaust system, tensioner pully wheel, PCM, and the obvious brakes and rotors.
The clutch is completely shot now. I can barely get the car up hills, and even rarely can get it up to 60mph. This is the worst and only problem that I know of with this car.
I've considered replacing the clutch. Cheapest kit I could find was $168. Not that bad. But the work and hours required hardly seems worth it to me anymore. I'd rather save the money I'd have to use on parts to keep this car alive on a new car. And that starts with selling this car. It's my first car so, it's not so easy for me but, it's gotta happen eventually.
So, my question is, what is a good, fair price to sell my car for? Or should I just scrap it to a junkyard?
Any answers will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, guys.

I would just put a clutch in it if everything else is good. Then you know what you got. Dont forget to have the flywheel machined if its nonmodular. Labor at a shop will be around 250-350 area. You could do it yourself on the ground with an extra jack. Swivel sockets and an impact will cut the time down. Check the engine rear main for any leaks while your in there.
