Sorry to bother you guys with this but I recently purchased a 2003 SX 2.0 sport, standard, it has about 70k on it. I lent it to a friend for the day and he was new at manual but figured he could handle it. When he brought it back to me he claimed that he missed on a downshift and redlined it pretty bad, and that he had to wait along the side of the road because it refused to go into any gear. He said he waited about 10 minutes before it was driveable again. I now have the car back in my possesion and in my drive way it will shift into every gear just fine, but once I am on the road it is very hard to push it from first to second to third. It is very stiff shifting into those gears. Is my transmission pooched? What do you guys recommend??

 

As of right now I am assuming its got to be a bent fork or something in the transmission, its hard to get in and out of gear
