OK so our check engine line came on, after doing some research I found this site and how to check the codes. I got the codes 0441 and 0456 back, and when driving the car it seems to have a hard time switching gears...like the transmission is slipping....can this be caused by the codes listed?. I really hope this is an easy/cheap fix we just had out transmission replaced 2 months ago. We are out of money and cant afford to fix any big problems and still have 8 months left to pay on the car.

 

Evap codes possibly due to bad vacuum line somewhere, your gas cap on? Take it by a trans shop and do a pan drop, if everything looks fine proceed with a filter and flush. Take it to an actual ase certified tranny shop not a jiffy lube. Be sure to describe your problems before hand. They can tell a lot by dropping a pan.
