Default Brake pedal is like pressing against a steel wall.

Lately the front brakes are fine till there hot, then they dont wanna let go of the rotors. Iv pulled em apart, cleaned and greased, to no avail.

Also, when they dont want to let go, the brake pedal just has to be nudged and the car will come to a hault. Mostly becuase it will barely move at all. When there cold the brake pedal is soft, like it normally should be.

I dont know whats causing this, iv been told its calipers or brake lines.. Im wondering if it has anything to do with the master cylinder.

Or possibly this is a long shot, but bad wheel bearings causeing everything to heat up, I dont know, just throwing in some ideas, but then again the car rides nice still?

Need some serious help before I go insane!!!!

from your decription it sounds like calipers or the brake lines are two really good possibilities. However, a problem with the master cylinder may be causing your calipers to lock up or stay closed after a while of driving. The pistons in the master cylinder might be locking up somehow, possibly due to a leak. Have you checked for leaks? When you checked out the pads did you check your brake lines for moisture?

Well last night I got a known good master cyl. froma donor car my buddy has and I put it in, bled all four tires.

The back tires, all the fluid that was in the lines was quite dark, not sure why? Old maybe?

Anyway, took it for a good ride and seemed to be working better than when I got the car 5000 clicks ago, we'll see how it holds up!

Thanks for the advice

Update, brakes are working really good now.

The newer master cylinder seemed to cure the problem!
