Make sure you have someone who knows about cars to inspect it since it has been in an accident. Normally on Neon, even minor bumps result in Frame Damage. Don't take the seller's word for it that it was only a "fender bender".

These Dodge Neon are daily beaters. I see plenty of them goes over 150k miles and still runs great. They are not the most reliable car on the road, and They really don't have specific Scheduled repair. However, majority of repairs on Neon are relatively easy and cheap. If you can buy the car for a low price, and plan a few hundred dollar of available funds for a repair and maintenance every year, you'll be ok.

Just make sure you do you scheduled oil change, and change the trans fluid every 30k miles or so, perhaps throw a Timing belt and water pump in every 90k miles or so, you should be free of major repair that'll cost thousands of dollars.

Also, Cars are not an investment, their value don't grow, they have always been a money pit, and they are a tool for transportation.

Thank you! And you're right, it's not an investment.
