SPEED LIMITER
Sup Every1......just wondering if 2000+ neons have a speed limiter and if so what is the speed? i have an 02chrsyler neon LE "RAGE" lol and i heard from a friend his 03 cav wouldnt go past 170 but ive gottten past 170 so i was jus wonderin!
PS if there is one is it possible to remove it and what are the risk or benefits?

Yes the top speed is limited. The regular 2nd Gen Neons wont go past 120 mph. The only way to get rid of the speed limiter is to get a reprogrammed PCM. With the reprogrammed PCM you will have to use Premium gas and it will eliminate all the factory drawbacks.
Is AFX making 2nd gen PCM's yet? I know Mopar isn't...
118 mph is the speed limiter on most Neons. The 1st gen R/T's and ACR's had higher speed limiters, don't know if they carried that over to 2nd gens or not.
Top speed is pointless. Not to mention reckless. I thought my suspension was pretty nice until I got on a course where 100+ mph speeds were possible... I'd hate to think how a stock second gen would do...

AFX already has 2nd Gen PCMs. They just don't have the 03'-up yet.
I wish Mopar would come out with the 2nd Gen PCMs. They don't have any for the 2nd gen. They are cheaper too.
