New to this and need help on a 2004 Dodge Neon R/T
We were fortunate to get a 2004 Neon R/T at and auction really really cheap! We converted it to a FWD race car! We race at a local track here in my area, that is 1/4 mile track! During my races i find myself hitting the rev limiter about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way down the front and back stretch! I would really like to get just a few hundred more RPM's before the rev limiter kicks in! I didn't really wanna start messin with gear ratio and what not because i run second gear the whole race! There is NO time to have to shift from second to third in that short of a distance, then back to second in the corners! So i'd like to keep the same gear ratio, but i'd like to get a few hundred more RPM til the limiter kicks in!? What is the best way to accomplish this or any suggestions oh what i can do to get more outta the car? Performance chip? Programmer? I'm open for any help i can get!!
