i had my alternator and battery tested it showed that the battery was fine but the alternator showed around 15 is this normal for a neon. i always thought its suppose to be around 14

 

I have never seen it read over 14.6 for a good test. Could be the internal voltage regulator. I would pull it out and bring it to auto zone/napa and have them test it for you. You don't want to take a chance in case it is cranking out more voltage and damage something else.

 

that's what the guy at advance auto parts said was the problem too. just wanted to make sure
