2.4 l dohc compatable with 2.0l neon
ok, well i decided i want to save up for the dodge dart instead of the srt 4 and i also replaced my own valve cover gasket so now my check engine lights off and now i DONT need a new converter, here the problem.... i already ordered a exhaust and long tube header...
I am wondering if in the future (end of the coming year) if i find a 2.4l DOHC engine can i use the same header and exhaust that im buying now... i have a 2001 neon

The dodge 2.4L engine comes with a dohc head. The 2001 neon has a sohc head. They have many differences, making parts like headers very application specific. A sohc header for a sohc head is not going to work on a dohc head. Th sohc has much smaller exhaust ports, and the bolt pattern is very different. The cat back exhaust can still be used, once you find a dohc long tube header to mate to it.
