Default Gas Prices

I have a little bit to show American Drivers who think they have it bad at the pumps.

Gas Prices:
Fargo, ND, USA = $2.30 9/10 Per gal ($0.53.3 litre) - June 2005
Minneapolis, MN , USA = $2.28 9/10 Per Gal ($0.51.5 litre) - June 2005
Winnipeg, MB, CANADA = $1.56.9 per Litre ( about $5.50 per gal ) - June 2005
Fredricton , NB, CANADA = $1.89.4 per Litre ( about $6.75 per gal ) - June 2005

So what do you think ? Not too fair eh? And what make even less sense is that canada has MORE crude oil than USA. Please unload your thoughts on me.

I agree it is more expensive in Canada. Where did you get those prices for the US?? http://www.northcarolinagasprices.com/ http://www.bridgeportgasprices.com/The problem in the US is that it has went from about $2.50 to almost $4 a gallon in CT in about a year, thats a big jump. It has always been higher in Canada.

Yeah; places like Germany are rediculous in gas prices too (compared to America). Diesel is also cheaper over there.

As far as America, there is no reason the gas prices should have went up. When they found out there was going to be another hurricane (Katrina) they increased their production. Everything that's going on in America is about profit.

You will find europe and other coutries pay most or all of their taxes in their gas bill. For instance I lived in Rota Spain and their taxes were paid at the pump. $4+ a gallon ain't to bad if you got back 25% of you check you give the fed every month. That is why the gov't likes withholdings tax as it hides the fact you pay them evey week or two. Imagine if you had to wrte a check out the gov't every week in the amount of $200 plus depending on your paycheck of course, then maybe someone would care but you never seen it so what difference does it make. Just remember that gas prices are high because we can not go after our oown sources of oil cause "Not in my back yard" or the "You are going to hurt the environment" croud complains. So you let them win and you get what you asked for first, HIGH GAS PRICES!!! So now we all understand part one, just remember a very large chuck of a gallon of gases price is yup you guessed it taxes. Which, the government outlawwed displaying the price without tax inclueded. So what is the big deal, simple, it ain't 7-9 cents a gallon. You would see say 1.80 on the sign pump in 10 gallons and would expect to spend 18.00 bucks. But the bill with all taxes included would be 31.19 or some outrageous number. Yup the goverment complains that the oil companies are getting rich but charges more in profits to themselves than the oil companies make withou lifting a finger to earn it.

Think about it

Lets see...last month...gas price was roughly 3 dollars or a little more. I saw as high as 3.30 something. Now....the price has dropped off the table. I've seen it for 2.26 all over the place. Now I'm not complaining about that price in any way shape or form. But for it to drop and rise that fast is bull****. Thats all I will say about that.

Totally agreed LowSlowNeon....

It was 2.52 2 weeks ago here and now its down to like 2.13 a gallon..... the prices dont rise based on actual quantity on hand....its all about "future" quantities....that they havent even produced....it's price gouging and it needs to stop...

tell that to OPEC, they don't live under your law, or my law. They have their own set of rules, which by our defenition, is a cartel: an illegally run operation designed to increase prices. We've already seen the highs and we're coming down to a new low, but how long until the next spike in prices? It won't ever stop, and I don't think that there will be anything we can do about it.
