tell that to OPEC, they don't live under your law, or my law. They have their own set of rules, which by our defenition, is a cartel: an illegally run operation designed to increase prices. We've already seen the highs and we're coming down to a new low, but how long until the next spike in prices? It won't ever stop, and I don't think that there will be anything we can do about it.
Sure there is, its called walk, ride a bike, or the such. Which I am sure with winter comming everyone is so willing to do. Welcome to America.

for the most part, yes, we can choose to drive less, or less often. But high gas prices will never stop the regular flow of things such as delivery trucks, big rigs, company vehicles etc. The increased prices will just be passed on to the consumer, which in the end is nearly everybody on the planet.

the bad part of the forced drop was that the gov. went and made them drop the prices to make you love them then bumped up the tax half the price of the drop so they could make more money and still look like the hero.
