2001 dodge neon Sohc lowering & turbo
I currently have a 2001 dodge neon Sohc I'm trying to lower car at least minimum 4 inches and put a turbo kit on it. I found a treat stone asp turbo manifold for it but need help with the lowering to car and finding a turbo kit anyone out there with help please????
No all I know is my engine is a 2.0 16 valve Sohc I know you can go to treadstoneperformance.com and get a turbo manifold for the Sohc and there is a hybrid t3 turbo kit for the engine also... and I'm trying to lower car down cause its setting crazy factory and I'm putting 16" wheels on it
Do you have a few thousand laying around? Turbo will not be cheap. Any significant gains in hp will not be cheap. You might as well forget it if your not willing to dump a few thousand into it. You can't just slap a cheap eBay turbo in it and drive. It's much more complicated to go FI. A whole lot more involved. Not to say it can't be done at all but definitely can't be done
Adding a turbo on a vehicle not set up from the factory for FI is not a good idea unless you can answer yes these questions:
-Do I have enough money or a good job?
-Do I have the time?
-Do I have the proper tools?
-Can I do most of the work myself; will I have to employ someone, or both?
-Do my goals warrant an engine rebuild? (In most cases, the answer is “yes”.)
-Do I have a garage so I’m not working in the cold or rain?
-Do I have a second vehicle available when the car is down or up on blocks?
-Do I have a good grasp of tuning an OBD 2 vehicle with a piggyback, ECUFlash, or a stand-alone unit?
-Am I prepared to upgrade other important areas, such as cooling, transmission, exhaust and brakes?
-Have I done my research using the internet/forums as a resource?
-Do I have the service manuals?
If you find you are answering “NO” to some of these questions, you will discover the “pain” if you proceed. Knowledge is the key. Worth saying again: I wouldn’t attempt to add FI without a second car.
As for lowering fast, buy lowering springs or cut your coils. The ride quality will be terrible. You will need new shocks/struts and get an alignment.

As for all those question yes to all? I'm not trying to be rude but I thought this was a site for help not judgement!! As for lowering it I'm not cutting my springscthats horrible I'm asking ifc there is a kit out there that I can lower this car down
Not judging. I have no idea of your skill level or access to the proper tools.
There are kits. I'd go with lowering springs over coil overs. But getting 4"is going to be hard to do. I just wanted to make sure you know what all us involved with adding a turbo. It's not easy or cheap.

Turbo can be done. It can also be done quite cheap as long as you have proper fuel/air/tuning. 3.0 guys have been doing it for years, for under $1k.
As far as lowering:
Coilovers such as Suspension Techniques, or a B&G setup will work well, although I think 4" is extreme. With a 4" drop there's not much point in adding boost as you'll never be able to drive it anywhere fast enough to require a turbo, which leads me to ask: Why are you wanting to do these mods?
