Hey all. I am looking for a brainstorming session. My car was running rough and burning gas at 4 times the normal rate. Choking like crazy. Bogging out. I did the key turn. Got 4 codes..all pointing to the o2 sensor. Upstream. I changed the sensor today and now my car won't start. I can hear the starter trying to work. nothing seems to want to fire. Please help!

 

forgot to mention its a 2005 Dodge sx 2.0 aka neon

 

What engine and transmission? How many miles? Is it turning over or not. Don't understand "starter trying to work".

 

Its only factory 2.0. No it isn't turning over

 

manual transmision, 2 litre. 4 cyl.

 

Battery could be gone. Try a jump start or have the battery tested.

 

it has 180 000 clicks on it.

 

OK. I had the cables hooked up to it. My ex wasn't in the best of moods so he was in a hurry and only gave me maybe a minute with the cables on it

 

Not turning over is indicative of a dead battery.

 

I tried to start it while he had his car hooked up to it. the battery is only a month old.
