Hi all, need some ideas on how to fix this issue asap please. Bought a 1996 neon 2 weeks ago and today the key has become stuck in the ignition not turning either way. I think it may be due to turning the key before putting car in park mode (automatic shift).

I read in the manual under the keys section that it will become locked and need service?

​​​​​​Hoping there is a quick way to release the key. We have just bought this car due to a car accident last month and really just need a break!

Any advice is much appreciated, Thank you!!

When the key is stuck into the car, just grab your shift stick and shake it a little bit.
This will release the key immediately.
