I need to find the VIN number somewhere ON MY CAR (NOT the title, registration or insurance card). The fuse box of my car started on fire and melted the drivers side dash including the metal VIN plate. The VIN on the driver's side door is not there. When the car door was repaired after an accident, it appears that the sticker was either removed or painted over. I tried scraping the paint off as well as removing it with paint thinner but did not see a sticker.

The car is beyond repair. The junk yard will not take it because they need to see the VIN on the car to match it to the title.

Does anyone know where else the VIN is stamped? I called a Dodge dealer (no help). I searched online and am not finding anything and went to DODGE website with no luck.
