Ok people, My 95 Plymouth Highlines E-Break Light is on even though the E-Break is not engaged. I recently changed the breaks and pads, but I havent had time to bleed the air lines due to the cold weather here and the whole system is full of air. Could the affect the break light being on. Oh and over time if a car sits long enough will the break lines "BLEED THEMSELVS"? Thanks

your brakes are a sealed system, there's no way for the brakes to "bleed themselves". The down sides to leaving this for the entire winter is exactly as casper described. The winter is probably THE BEST excuse to bleed them now, you'll probably need them the most in the winter. Air bubbles in the brake lines can feel stiff at one second and will compress the next and you'll have zero braking power, which is a very bad thing. Get that air out now.

Just bled the lines, I would have bled the breaks myself just like i replaced the pads and rotars myself but my dads stupid and was convinced I didnt reasemble the breaks correctly. But he was convinced there was more to it than just bleeding the breaks, oh and get this, They tried racking up the bill from $64 to 120 and all they did was bleed the goddamn break lines, started a big scene in the lobby but I did get the price back down to the original.
