Tried to do my gf a favor yesterday, and did an oil change on her 2000 Neon. Problem is... the last mechanic must have overtigthened the drain plug, and half the threads can out with it. So now the car has a slow leak, and I want to fix it. I'd rather not do the whole oil pan, and I think a helicoil would not only repair the problem but make it stronger and less likely to happen again. So, my question is.... anyone done this? What size helicoil do I need?

That would work..... if I could find a replacement drain plug with 1.25mm pitch.
