I just bought a 1996 dohc neon. It already has a Ice Man Cold Air. What are some relatively cheap mods? and does anyone know how to feel the tail lights leaking

 

Take a look through the 1st gen neon section. The 1st basic mods are intake, exhuast, header, PCM, motor mounts, shifter bushings. Put some silicone around the tail lights.

 

Peel back the carpet, youll see white residue going donw the inside of the trunk if the taillight is leaking as evidence that water was there.

 

I actually close myself in the back seat with the seats down with a flashlight and the carpet removed and had my friend run water over the car with a hose and sure enough the tails were leaking. some silicone or new foam rubber will fix the problem just fine.
