cigarette lighter
I have a 2005 Dodge Neon SXT and would like to find a way to keep my lighter plug on at all times.
I have an old Pocket PC I use as a GPS but the battery is no so good. If I odo not keep some power running to it
the battery dies within 3 hours and I lose everything. Right now I have a 3 way splitter hooked up directly to the lighter.
Somone told me I would wire it directly to the fuse box but I really do not want to do that unless I have to.
Thanks

RE: cigarette lighter
Odd... the 1st gen lighters were on all the time. At least on my '95 it is...
You can pick up a spare/aftermarket lighter and cord for under $10, then wire it wherever you want. Just have to hunt around and find a source that's on all the time, like the lights, or wherever you'd want to run an alarm system. You could also run the power supply for your GPS/PPC to a constant on source, just like you'd do with an alarm. That's probably the way I'd go.
Best of luck!
