That's what happens when you beat your car! Your 2000 Neon should have still have been running fine as frog hair! I know someone who is still driving an early '90's Neon with 360,000 miles on it... yes, 360,000 miles. Better luck with your SRT-4!

Arrive alive,

Bill

Vaughn, by the way, oil on one plug on an engine with only 75,000 miles on it indicates (under normal circumstances) a bad valve stem oil seal.

hi Bill........i honestly took good care of my neon..........for the first two years i barley drove it.............i never had the car past 90mph...thehesitating problem on mine i noticed around 6000 miles......i took it to the dealer as it had a water leak.......and told them about the hesitation.......they told me they couldnt find nothing wrong and it was the engines nature to do so.....my motor would drop to around 500 rpm are a little less at a stop light.... automatic 3 speed

as far as the chatter.......it started fairly ealier too......but it doesnt get cold long here in florida so i never worried about it.... but yea i think the car would have lasted alot longer....
i just didnt feel like puting any money in mine......had 90% hail damage... which happened about 6 months ago

thanks for the oil seal info..........when i did a search for oil on the plug........my result gave me two opinions.........either bad piston rings......are a valve guide.........and i know my car had good power still so i concluded on my own probably a valve guide.....

well, i was wrong it wasn't a vaccum leak, it was the plug wires, I put on my superconductor wires and went ahead and put on a msd coil, runs better than ever.
