Will using this in my car actually do anything good? or is it possible it could hurt my performance?

In most cases you're better off just buying a higher octane gasoline.... a lot of the "boosters" have MMT and other bad things in them for your engine. There's no "free ride" when it comes to octane...[&:]

BTW, I've got a couple of bottles of "104" I can sell ya.....Just kidding, just put 93 octane in your tank, there's no need for anything higher unless you're running something other than normal....

Yep, your new PCM should have said to use 92 octane minimum. It even comes with a sticker for the gauge cover and one for inside the fuel door that says the same. Using octane booster also costs more than buying the good gas to begin with. If you figure it at $.25 per gallon difference between regular 87 and 92 octane with an 11.5 gallon tank, your looking at $2.88 difference. The octane booster is usually around $6-8 per can that is good to treat 14 gallons. It is alot cheaper to just use the 92 and pass on the booster.[sm=smiley2.gif]

Thanks for the replies I'm already using 93 octane since I've put in the PCM, I was just wondering if running higher would give me any performance. I'm new to this whole performance scene so I'm just trying to get a few pointers Guess I'll save the $6 and go buy me a burger

For the money you'll save, you can even afford to "supersize" it!!![sm=smiley36.gif]

If you want a little more out of it you could try some 100 octane unleaded Cam2 race gas.
