Debadged
I've heard of that happening to older neons, but nothing about the new ones. I still have a little bit of adhesive on my trunk still from the letters, but it is coming off slowly. I also haven't really tried that hard to get it off. I will bust out the goo gone.
juss debadged the "car store" badge off of the tailgate looks the same color...now you kno the ram 1500 badge...my dad said since it is larger it is prolly like a plastic rivet thing that goes together to push in and wont come out cause it seperates once in is this true i dont think it is thanx for your help
I don't know about the 1500 badge, ask someone with a truck. I doubt it there is a plastic rivet holding it, probably just adhesive, but I'd ask someone with a truck first to be safe.
well, i gotta hand it to you... you've inspired me to get off my @$$ and dabadge my own neon. i was worried it was gonna ruin the paint or something along those lines, but no. all went well, and i am stoked at how clean my car looks now. [sm=smiley20.gif][sm=lol.gif]
When I removed all my emblems and side moldings, I just used a cleaner wax, clay bar and some water. Mostly clay bar, it worked the best, and either wash your car afterwards, or use a water bottle to wipe off the residue from the clay bar lube stuff.
But I agree, I think it makes the 2nd gen neons look so much nicer. Makes the sides look so much smoother. I couldn't have been happier when I removed them.

For the Sport stickers and the Dodge Stickers onthe bed and tailgate, the heat gun worked well... just took some patience and a gentle touch. Again, I buffed out the paint really well to care for the paint.
