Really hard to explain, but ive got a 95 dodge neon 2 door coupe highline. It will randomly sputter while driving, doesnt matter what rpms, just randomly chokes up.. hazard lights blink as though it were in the run position when this happens. it acts like its stalling out and then cutting back on really fast, any ideas... Ive changed the fuel filter and spark plugs and plug wires.. please help...

 

How olds your alternator? Thats what it sounds like to me atleast.

 

Same thing happened to me when my alternator went (finally, after 210k miles...). Made an odd noise for the last couple thousand miles of its life.
