Powerdyne Power plate anyone?
Has anyone tried this? I'm wondering why they report 96 to 2001 DOHC. As I understand the DOHC stopped in 1999. And there isn't any difference that I know of between 95 and 96 TB and manifold area match up that would prevent it from working on a 95. Nor do I think there's anything significant that would prevent from using it on a SOHC. Let me know if you've tried one. Not a bad price for 14% more flow (and 14 more horsepower???---I think that's on a big 5.7 Vortec motor or something.)

Tisk, tisk, tisk. Be careful of what and how you read something, that is how and why things like this sell. Here is their exact words,"Independent lab testing shows that the PowerPlatesâ„¢ Throttlebody Spacer flows up to 14% more air than major competitors." They say right here that it flows up to 14% more air than "major competitors". They didn't say that it simply flows 14% more air.
It will show no benifit. It puts obstacles in the way and interupts the air flow. If this improved power, then why do people port and polish obstructions like this away for more power and performance. They claimed that their test car showed a 14 horsepower gain, for all we know their test vehicle could have had a bad seal/gasket at the throttle body and putting their plate in with it's new gaskets is how they got their gain. In this case it could have gained 20 horsepower by simply replacing the seal/gasket.
I'm not saying that you believe in this item and it's claims, I'm just pointing out how things like this sell even though they're crap. Read everything very carefully before buying anything.[sm=smiley2.gif]

The only application where a spacer is helpful and will show performance gains is on a carburated engine. This is because the fuel is inside the carburator and the spacer acts as a heat sink and keeps the fuel in the carburator cooler.
