Default 97 Neon High rate springs making klunking noise

Hi all, I have a 97 ACR with klunking front noises coming from the front springs. It really complains when I turn the wheel. They started this chatter 6 months after installation. The only service I had was ball joints......shortly before that the noise began. I've sprayed WD40 - very little affect. Shouldn't these springs rest in some shock towers or something? Please note, wet weather seems to make it worse.
Thanks,

JB

I'm not 100% sure of this, but it is probably your struts. Lowering springs make you wear them out faster.

Thanks. I sure hope it's not the struts. These the Koni adjustables and can be reeeeeal expensive.
