basically i have a 1200 watt amp with 2 phoenix gold 10 inch subs and i had it all wired up and had the subs pounding, then i took them out caus ei had to do some work on the box i biuild, then when i put the system back in it woudlnt work. so i used a volt meter to see if i was getting power to the amp. The amp light still turns on so there is power there. I c heck the power wire terminal and the light go's on.....but when i test the terminals for the speakers on the amp there is no power going to them. what the hell is going on ! and i dont have a fuse on the amp and the fuse under the hood is fine. i have no idea what the hell is going on here.

what name brand amp do u have and how many channels is it. 2 or 4? cuz it sound to me that something on the inside of the amp conected to the speaker terminalshave gone bad. i had the same problm with my 2200 watt percision power amp. i would suggest putting another amp in to test the problem and if the new one works then thats ur problem

 

check if you have any settings that would mute the subs...like if the amp has a master/slave switch then make sure it is on master....if all your connections are good and settings are good...something is wrong with the amp bro....

 

maybe you blew some mosfets...
do you have a sub setting on you head unit...

Make sure your wires are connected to the right areas

 

sounds like the amp is blown.

since you have a meetr, test for AC voltage at the speaker outputs on the amp, or just plug in the RCA's

 

Check the remote wire from the head unit. I had problems with that in ever car i have ever owned.
