This is some of what is involved.
JeffB#2 does the conversion for $100, but you have to supply the SRT-4 clutch. There is someone in the 1st gen neon section that has one for sale.

The first part of the work involves reducing the overall diameter to fit inside the "Neon" bellhousing.
The second part of the work is removing material to make room for the flex plate starter gear to fit to the back side of the flywheel. I had a fixture made to go into the lathe to accomodate the work that needs to be done. The flywheel bolts to it and then the cuts are made.

any way to get the intake into the fender to have true cai??? looks liek the only way to do it would be to relocate the battery eh?

Yep I have! I'll be picking up a smaller kit made for the srt4 this year sometime. With the battery kitand another secret mod I'm working on I can clean up the wiring more, hide the pcm and run a true cai.

thanks for that link....it will be very helpful.
I just acquired EVERYTHING to make an srt4 (electrical, mechanical, full interior) about a half hour ago. So basically I'll only be using my 98 shell in place of the srt body.....that should make things ALOT easier. Id still like some help on the wrench time if anyones in the area and willing.
