A couple Q's--

Does the Mopar Performance exhaust come stock on the '99 R/T? Does anyone know what the 80-series is/would be like on the neon or is there any way I can use another muffler to make a dual exhaust?
No. The R/T and all other 2.0L DOHC's have a better muffler than the SOHC's. The Mopar Performance muffler is alot louder and better flowing and sounding than stock. Most of the Flowmaster mufflers will fit, but few have the outlets on both ends like the 80 series.

Hey thanks a lot for those sounds! Dang...if those are on a neon I think I'll go for the 50 series...haha. The interior sounds alright but the outside sound just doesnt belong on a 4-cylinder. Thanks a bunch red91RT.

It depends. If my sanity returns and I do take it off to go something more mellow, I think they'd be pretty decent on the SPirit R/T. Turbo should quiet it a little and at least I'd have the power to back it up. . . . well, actually my neon's outrun a number of people too, so I guess I should think of it as bait.

Realistically, you've been right all along. As I said, I think if I were to do again, I'd do a 50 series with Delta Flow. I did also have video of the 70 series on my suburban and the 40 series deltaflow on my Jimmy. If I can figure out how to get my video on you might want to hear that 40 with dflow before you decide. If not, I'll just record with my laptop like I did the neon.

For any other 80 series Neon fans, remember the mic wasn't picking up too good inside, so it's actually louder than it seems in the recording, and the outside throttling my laptop was sitting about 12 inches from one of the tips, so it might be 1 or 2 decibels quieter. [sm=lol.gif]

I like it.[sm=smiley20.gif] It sounds a bit like the SRT-4 exhaust only a little louder. Now I wish I had switched when I still had the R/T.
