2000 DODGE NEON TIMING QUESTION
as a general rule
when you advance the timing of your cam, you power band moved DOWN in the rpm range, so your engine would make its maximum power SOONER
when you retard the timing the power band moves UP in the rpm range
on the SOHC engine it makes the best power when the timing is dead on, not advanced not retarded
I have a R/T engine in my 96 and it still pulls all the way up to 6500
