Default No more bodykit ideas...

Going to get some Eibach's for my car next tuesday rather than a body kit along with a vibrant dual exhaust, altezza tails, and clear corners. Ill post pics when I get done.

p.s. does anyone know a place that I could get pictures up of my car to link to? thanks.

I got Eibachs and clear corners. Clear corners are really easy to installl. Eibachs are not that hard to do as long as you have the right tools. Well, I've only done the rear of the car so far. Doing the front two springs friday night after I get out of work. Then my car will be completely lowered. It's going to look bad@ss. Will post up pictures of that when I get them. You can register at cardomain and post pictures and information about your car.

Cool, Thanks for the weblink. I'm going to have the springs done at a local Les Schwab's. 380 for parts and install and another 19.95 for alignment, so I dont think thats to bad of a price. They said it would lower it about 1.2' so I dont know howmuch of a visual change it will make but I've heard it should corner a lot better.

YOu have a 98 neon I take it? I don't know what the drop is for the first gen, eibach says it will lower mine 1.5 inches all around. I have the rear two springs on right now and the wheel gap is gone. The back looks just plain sick, in a good way of course. Once I do the front its going to look sweet. Haven't seen many lowered neons around here so that will at the very least set mine apart. And of course once I get the front ones done I will get it aligned. I think I'm just going to get a lifetime alignment service so I only have to pay once for alignment and then its free from here on out. I did the install myself with a friend and I'd say after we do the front we spent maybe 5 or 6 hours total. Not too difficult of an install. As for the visual change, you will notice it immediately. The wheel gap is gone on my car. I will try to take a snapshot of my front before and after, you'll see how big of a difference it is. I couldn't tell you whether it will corner better or not yet, don't have the fronts on, I went zippin through sharp corners at about 60-70 and it handled just the same as with the stock ones on. But if I had to take a guess I would think it should corner a little bit better after you get new springs.

That is correct the springs will be going on a 98 neon, modernperformance listed the pro-kits at a 1.3' drop and the sportlines at a 1.6' drop. I wont know how it will handle till I get them on my car on tuesday, but right now with nearly bald tires I can take a *recomended speed corner of 45* at about 70 without a problem, just a lill body lean. After I get all my crap installed on it I have to pay it off (darnit!) then its all performance.

HEH. I see tons of neons around here, but none that look like mine does. I have yet to see a black 2nd gen like mine around here. I've seen plenty of SXT's just no black ones. That and I bet no one's looks or sounds like mine does. That deep tone of the intake tends to attract the honda's and acura's that want to mess with my car. Oh yea, mmmmm....body lean. I think its going to take more than just springs to get rid of the body lean. I bet it will help however, maybe need strut tower bar in front/back and maybe some other suspension upgrades to make it handle like crazy. Got any pics of the altezza's on your car? I might get a new set of tail lights some day.

You can post your pictures here on DF. You have a couple choices here. You can put the picture in your posts, at the bottom of the box that you put your post in it has "Click here to upload!", click on it and click on one of the "browse" buttons and find the pictures you want. Click on the picture and then click "open", the picture or total of all the pictures, if your posting more than one, cannot exceed 500 kb in file size. Then click on the "OK" button and when it has uploaded it click on that "OK" button. And if you want to show a thumbnail of the picture in your post, then click on the box where it says "Embed picture in post" next to "Click here to upload!" and your done. The other way is to click on "Photo Gallery" at the top of any DF page and create your own photo album.

Here is how it will look if you put a picture in your post and embed it:
