if you want to find out the hard way get the kit and drive around the police parking lot at night wit them on...or you can ask them and they will prolly get back to you..thats the way the town i live in works but then again my dad is good friends w/ the chief of police so maybe he just goes the extra mile to help out a friend..but anyways if you ask them they will prolly get back to you

Many states have a website from their state troopers or state police that list major MV laws. In some states it comes under the Attorney General's Office... I'd do a search under the "google" search engine and type in "Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Laws, or Pennsylvania automobile neon lighting laws"....you get my drift....good luck....[sm=smiley20.gif]

In West Virginia neon kits are illegal as hell. The local cops complain about the LED wheel caps. So my best guess is it's also illegal in Pennsylvania too.

The "hot topic" right now for cops in Texas are DVD players in cars/trucks that are visible from the drivers seat. You WILL get a ticket.

Ya, you know, when my wife and I bought a DVD setup for the new suburban we read a little warning about that in the Eddi Bower packaging. I certainly understand why, and we've never put a monitor up front (it's to keep the kids occupied while going to grandma's) I had to wonder: What does that mean with all those aftermarket head units that have a pull out/flip up monitor. There can't be that many states that have outlawed it or you'd think the radio manufacturers wouldn't bother making them for sale.

Any thoughts? Just curious how many states outlaw it and how many of those type of head units they sell.

I dunno. I know for a fact they caught a Texas State Trooper watching a DVD movie on her cruiser-installed laptop computer....that didn't sit too well with the lawmakers......[:'(]

from what i've been hearing at least around here underbody neon's and led's are fine as long as your not running them while driving. The only neon/led problem's around here come from running flashing red or blue valve stem light's. But the law's change from state to state
