Can anyone help me how to install a tachometer on a base neon that does not come with a tachometer in dash..Please Help..thanks

Are you trying to install a factory gauge cluster that has a tach or are you adding a seperate aftermarket tach like an Auto Meter?

The tachometer that i need to install is a aftermarket tach..like an autometer tach..The problem is i dont know where the negative coil is .that is where it says i need to attach the wire connection to. I have all other connection done correctly. This is the last piece i cant figure out..thanks

 

Do you have the tach adapter AKA: tach driver, you will need it since it is a distributorless ignition.

 

yeah, i do have the tach adapter, but now my problem is finding where to install the tach driver too. I have no clue??? Thanks again for your help..

 

There are 2 or 3 wires going into the coil pack on top of the engine. The wires hook up to those. You need to consult the directions or the manufacturer for the specific wires. Good luck.
