my dodge neon 1999 makes strange noise at 45 mph it dissapairs at 60 mph. i really do not know what it is. tires? engine?
i will be happy to hear any suggestions

actually it sounds like the noise my engine(on enother car with mechanical gear box) was making while descending the hill. I mean the car was slowing down mainly by gear box not brakes. noise is almost similar. it doesnot metter i am pushing accelerator or not it is most annong during deceleration

 

check your front end components....jak up the front of the car and see if the wheel wobbles.....there shouldnt be any movement...but if there is then sumthing needs to be changed

 

See if it changes while steering side to side. If it does then it probably is a wheel bearing however have had a few CV shafts get me with similar noises over the last year or so.
