Hey guys, im new here. I finally got my baby!!!
After months of searching I finally found a clean yellow one. I love the yellow ones, reminds me of the bright sun. It has cloth black interior. I didnt want power windows or power locks (too much weight for racing ya know).

One question though, my car is completely stock, I was wondering who would win vs my friends modified 1996 m3 in a canyon race. Im sure his car will be a bit faster on the straights but I think I can take him on the twisties (suspension on these bad boys are sick from what ive felt so far).

With two equal drivers the M3 will win without a question. Welcome to the forum.

 

yeah that M3 is gona hurt you lol but, with enough time patience and the right mods you could give it something to worry about. you can find a lot of info that your probably wondering about in the first gen section, welcome

 

From the yellow color, I'm guessing you got a 2nd gen neon, right?

BTW, assuming you have a 2.0, the m3 will kill you on the straights and absolutley rape you in the curves even if you have an SRT. they came stock with 240 hp and are damn near a 50/50 weight distribution, unlike the neon which is extremely front-heavy.

sorry to say but the m3 will indeed kick your A@@, but if you put a few bolt ons and then for a "BANG FOR YOUR BUCK" theres the wet jet, you kow juice!!! now wher talking some horse power there!!!!!! if your a very good driver then you might win, but it is a very slim chance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
