^ im gonna measure the stock motor mounts in my trunk and see what i can come up with for the 2nd gen as well

people who put no thought process into their posts amuse me. im not sure if its been done before, but i dont want just random pictures off the net of some duchebag's vipered neon, lol.
I want the N00B to post up pipctures of his viper motor in the neon with: driver's door fully open, passanger door half way open, passanger seat fully reclined, hood proped open with a paint stir, or like sick of about 2' in length, then a full engine bay shot (err trunk shot i guess) with a paper on the motor saying "I OWNED DF & FLAMINGPINHEAD on 23 SEP 06" and the front page of today's newspaper. oh yeah, and your front wheels need to be turned left. if I see any photoshopping, i will chop your fingers off.

I was wondering if I could put a SRT-4 engine in my 01 and keep it automatic?

Yes you can, but you still need to replace the transmission with the 41TE.

It bolts up to the 1st gen ATX tranny.

But who would want that tranny behind a motor with any power?

srt4 motor in neon + all the extra goodies that would cost the same as fabbing a viper swap > heavy viper swap
