Weird things happening. I don't have a clue.
Can anyone give me an idea of what's going on here?
We have a 2000 Neon. A couple of days ago it started acting weird. It runs fine in 1st and second (auto trans) but misses in drive. Badly. The A/C also started to stop blowing cold on acceleration and then blowing nice and cool during decceleration... and pretty cold at idle. I haven't tried the on-off-on thing to get the codes yet.
Does anyone have an idea of what the heck is going on? [:@]

your miss could be a partially plugged cat. converter... sounds like as it pushes more air through it chokes the engine out.
Does your A/C actually go warm, or does it just redirect the air to different vents?
If it actually goes warm, the PCM could be deactivating the comp.'s clutch to gain power - like if the cat. is choking the engine down.
Just a thought....

Man...I dunno.... it throws this as an error code.
P0743 Torque Converter Clutch/Solenoid Trans An open or shorted condition detected in the torque
Relay Circuits converter clutch (part throttle unlock) solenoid control
circuit. Shift solenoid circuit C electrical fault-Aisin Trans
I don't know what to do about it or what that would have to do with the A/C. [:@]
