What Next?
I have a 98 neon sport DOHC. I already have got the windows tinted and euro taillights and full catback exhaust with a hi-flo cat converter and I was wondering wat i should get next for performance.
Try a CAI. Increased intake and increased output (from your exhaust) are the two best mods you can make for the bucks. Euro taillights are good for 5 HP, stickers are good for 2 HP each.....(just kidding, I have the Mopar/3D taillights on my SRT-4)[sm=smiley20.gif]
I say get the iceman as well. I don't even have a cold air on my car, just a K&N on my throttle body and it pulls like a b!tch compared to the stock airbox over 3 grand.
So how much hp is a painted interior good for dusty (hehe, kidding as well)? I'm in the process of doing up my interior, well just pieces of it (accenting), no I'm not one of those ricer people who paint everything, just pieces to make certain parts stand out and set my car apart from every other regular neon out there. Plus I plan on getting some seat covers or racing seats that match the color, and floor mats to go with it as well. It should look slick when I'm done with it.

Absolutely agree with dusty. You've opened up your tail and might even be regretting it on the lower end around town. So, open up your front end next. After that make reducing load/friction (like the UDP) the next step so you can rev faster--rev faster, get to that high flow in/out faster.
On this little tiny car an extra 7 HP is a 5% gain in power. You start noticing 5% gains on a 2400 lbs car. Good luck.
Another question about the cold air intake. The only cai that will fit my car since it's a DOHC with automatic tranmission is the iceman intake and i'll have to cut the pipe a little shorter, but the question is, is the intake going to be positioned down under the fender or will it be in the same spot as the stock intake?
I've only seen the ModernPerformance pictures of the auto conversion--but it only removes a few inches. It still puts it in colder air than the original. your original is hovering above the valvecover at the top of the engine compartment--guess where hot air rises too. (BTW that's why some people claim a horsepower or two by removing the hood to cowl rubber sealer--so air can escape through there during driving. (I don't buy it, but mine was falling off anyway so it's gone.)
Alright now i finally figuared it out. Thanks a lot I'm getting the iceman intake in a week after payday.
