Got an ATX?
Hey I wanted to know what other owners on here are runnin an auto transmission. I've done a bit to mine, but want to know how much power the transmission can take before I need to build it up. Have any of you modified your auto? Tell me what ya got. Thanks for the input.
Just make sure you take very good care of your tranny. Change the fluid and filter every 20 to 30k if not sooner. Install a tranny cooler (the biggest you can fit). If you can afford it start running amsoil (or some other synthetic) tranny fluid. All these things will greatly extend the life of you auto. If you can afford it you might want to consider getting these:

Both of these will also help extend the life of your tranny and also allow it withstand more power. If you want to go all out you really should invest in both of those plus this:

Hope this info helps.

I've read in several magazines that the first gen Neon block is actually a very strong engine. You can do a decent amount to it before you have to begin to modify the actual motor. My buddy had a '98 SOHC that he turboed/intake/exhaust/upgraded fuel rail/so on and so forth and the engine was barely touched. Besides the necessary mods of course!
