I found a gauge cluster for my car from a 1998 DOHC Neon. It has the 7000RPM Redline. I drive a 1998 SOHC, and it has the 6500RPM Redline. Will the tach work in my car, or will it be uncalibrated? Thanks for your help!

 

i have a 95 neon and i had to replace the gauge cluster that redlined at 6500RPM and i got a new one from a 96 that redlines at 7000RPM. it works u just have to remember that your eninge redlines at 6500RPM.

 

All the gauge clusters are interchangeable from 95-99. They will all work the same, except your car will redline where the pcm is set not the tach.
