Default Happy B-day to me

Wow. My wife just keeps coming up with toys for me. My birthday is next week. She just gave me my present. A Mopar '95 DOHC PCM.

There's been a lot more discussion than this, but it would appear my wife has found some new found respect for some things I've done for her. I think it has to do with many of her friends husbands not willing to take out the garbage let alone add a couple bedrooms to the house, etc. (Yup, I'm a little prideful of my work--did it all myself.) So. . . last night she has my 8 year old hand me the Modern Performance box and says "Happy Birthday, you deserve this."

. . . So I hadn't been willing to do a PCM before because it requires premium fuel. But I put it on last night, threw in a few gallons of 100 octane from the local 76 that has it (to try to bring my 87 octane in the tank up to snuff.) . . . .I am very, very pleased with the results. It's sweet to rev up past 7500 and after about 30-50 miles this morning I can feel the difference in tuning on the high end by seat of the pants too--quite a bit actually. I feel like it's taking advantage of that #2 SOHC cam now.

First of all, happy early bday. Yup, I don't have a house or anything like that (I'm a youngin, hehe), but I too take pride in my work just like you, nothing wrong with that. And second, congrats on the PCM. Do you have a performance cam in there? I wish there was a new PCM for my 04, oh well guess I have to wait.[:@]

So the mopar performance ECU is worth it. Hmmm, might have to consider that down the road for project neon. Right now we have to get a transmission for it seen as the auto died so much for building an auto. Now were just waiting on all the parts to convert it to 5spd to arrive.

Ha! It figures Dusty and I are in the same zodiac!

I would dare say WELL worth it. I don't know why I was using that extra $2.00 a fillup as an excuse not to do it for three years but it's awesome.

Yes I have a #2 cam. Also a few other tricks when I rebuilt it.

Guess what!?! On the way home last night a BMW 330CI got embarrassed. No ****aki! I know he probably short shifted but I did surprise the h!@# out of him. I'll post a little something in the racing section in a minute.

Very, very pleased. I'm thinking I better find a different donor car for a V-6 swap project---maybe an Daytona or Avenger for an Intrepid 3.5 or something---I like this screaming 7800 RPM 4 banger too dang much.

It's not an ECU... that's those other companies... we have PCM's... hehehe!

And I have one on my Ram and just put on the Shelby Daytona... LOVE THEM... I'll always have a performance PCM on my vehicles.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVERYONE!! LOL... July is a busy birthday month...
