General tuning advice?

Hi,

I'm based in the UK and I'm about to buy a 1996 Neon LX.

Over here, that's the 2.0l version with an auto box, air con and folding mirrors.

There isn't much of a market for tuning Neons over here , but wondered what is possible through basic bolt on goodies. I will probably have to get them shipped over from the US!

I've so far found that wheels that fit the latest VW Golf will fit the Neon, as well as lowering springs.

I've been unable to fine any tuning parts such as ram air filters or exhaust systems.

Are there any brands or suppliers you can recommend and ideally ship over to the UK.

Thanks

The Neon's have a 5 X 100mm bolt pattern, so most wheels with the same bolt pattern will work. I do not know if any of these places handle international orders or not, but check out these places:

The local shop I go to does bussiness with people all over the world. They have gotten 3 cars in to magazines. They are called Alamo Autosports. They are big time into the sport compact scene.

the UK huh, so do you drive on the left side of the road over there?

If so what's it like, it'd seem that shifting with your left hand would be weird. or fun, it'd take some time to get use to I guess. Good luck on the mods.

For your exhaust pacesetter, Borla, Apexi, as for intakes: iceman, If dohc5 speedthen AEM, rage,RE works, APC (this one sucks but it's cheap) K&n, R/S Akimoto, Ractive, TSUDO and V-Racing all of which you can find on NOPI.com
