Default CAI and Header Question

Has anyone purchased a CAI from REWORKS? If so is it a good intake? Which header would you buy between these 2 Chikara or Pacesetter? Trying to decide what to purchase with my money from E-Bay auction. Maybe I should ask what would everyone here buy if they had $300.00 to spend? Please help me out everyone.

REWORKS? Well, considering it's an HAI it's not really worth the money. If you want a true CAI either go with the Iceman or the CAI from a Caravan. You can usually buy the CAI off a Caravan for around $30.

As for the headers, I don't know of anyone who has or uses a Chikara so I don't know how good they are. The Pacesetter however gives the best gains for the Neon for the price. compared to any other header of it's class. Meaning there are better headers out there but for an entry level header it's not bad. So, I'd go with the Pacesetter.

And to answer your question, if I had $300 I'd buy a front mount intercooler or get a wastegate.

What year Caravan and what all do I buy? I am leaning towards the Pacesetter but the Chikara looks of a lil better quality.

Crazy I didn't mean what would you buy for your ride I meant my ride. LOL

Late 80's early 90's Caravan. And you'll only be buying the intake tube itself. It's basically a rubber tube with a 90* bend on it. It's pretty easy to spot.

Normally the tube comes from teh drivers side of the engine bay and turs to the fire wall where teh TB is. That's a rough location. I'll see if I can find some for you that you could buy.

What are your plans for the car? If it's just for a few bolt ons then get whatever header you want. If you plan on going all out ***** to the wall with it and are planning on either going forced induction (turbo) or drag you might want to get the Pacesetter this way you aren't spending a whole lot of money.

But again, if it were me, I'd get the Pacesetter. In fact, I currently have a Pacesetter on my car right now untill I can get my turbo in the car.

I've got an AEM CAI on my R/T and it works great! The gains were good and I love listening to it whistle when you open the throttle a little bit!

Get the Pacesetter it actually a decent header. We plan on getting one for project neon as soon as the tranny problem is fixed. As for the intake we have an APC intake installed on project neon and its loud as hell. If you don't ever plan on going turbo I would highly recomend spending the extra money on an Iceman intake. If you are thinking of going turbo then just buy an APC intake because it a lot cheaper and you will be replacing it as soon as you go turbo any way.
