CD Changer Help
If it is a in-dash changer there is something called an installation kit. it comes with a DIN hole and the correct bolt patern for the car, they are vehicle specific. That should be all you need. If you are installing a separate changer mount it in the trunk and run the wires to the radio. What is this little black square thing?
ahh i found it ok i have the wire harnesses and the MOUNTING KID...that was the name of like the black square damn thing...its all spliced and everything i just need to know what tool would be good to cut the mounting thing cause the guy said i needed to
If it is for your car you shouldn't have to cut anything. I think the guy at the store has succeded in confusing you more than you already are.
Do you have a digital camera? Can you get pictures to show us because I'm sure I speak for the rest of those who had tried to help you when I say we have no idea what you are refering to that needs to be cut. Pictures would help us out immensly. If you are able to take pics email them to me and I will host them for you.

ugh you almost always have to cut a dash kit
i just used some uhh sheer cutters irrr something like that that i had in my garage, they are like really big strong sicors b/c i tried using a exacto knife and it didint work, just make sure you check the little book that comes with the kit to check what parts to cut off and which parts to leave in, you dont want to cut off the wrong thing and have the corner of the kit to sink in and look like ****[:@].. like mine, im going to take it out and buy another kit from best buy b/c mine is from walmart and the plastic is really flimsy and thin.
