I am trying to put in a reverse glow gauges into my 2000 neon and cant figure out how to take off the dash...can anyone help...thanks

 

im not sure about the second gen.. mine was easy.. just pop the dash.. and unscrew the screws holding the glass there.. then just pull on the cluster.. comes right off.

 

I am pretty sure thats all you need to do. It should just pop off and the the screws around the gauges

 

There is a Phillips head screw on each side of the top dash that's covered by the doors. there is also two hidden in the center vent on top of the dash. Remove those four and the top dash comes off. Remove the dash underneath the steering column, I don't remember any hidden screws there. Once those are off there is a trim piece above the steering column. You can then take the screws out from the gauge. just make sure you have Torx bits.
