Oil all over plug wire HELP
Cylinder #4's plug wire is dripping with oil when I just pulled it, there is also a little pool around the plug too. I thought the plug might be loose but it is tight, I almost lost my plug socket down there because the oil formed a suction around it. All other cylinders are bone dry. So whats going on with my Neon?!!?? It runs just fine, no stumbles hesitation or anything.
Thanks, Paul

It's one, or a combination, of 2 things. The seal for the plug one the valve covers are going bad, or the seals at the bottom of the plug tubes are going bad. The seals on the cover are pretty easy to change, but the tubes I can't tell you about since I have never changed one. Try the plug seals on the valve cover first.
For the valve cover seal, yes.
Remove the coil pack and wires. Remove the valve cover, be careful and remove the valve cover seal for reuse. Flip cover over so your looking at the inside of the cover. You will see the seals. Simply pry them out with a small screwdriver. Be careful not to gouge the cover. Oil the inner part of the seal and press them in. Replace seal on valve cover, pace back on engine. Replace the coil pack and wires. Your done.

I recommend putting a thin layer of black silicone between the gasket and the value cover. This way you know it will seal tight. It also will fill any imperfections in the gasket or value cover. In all it should take you about an hour.
I'd actually recommend replacing the entire tube. For that, you are going to need a pair of vice grips, a block of wood and a mallet of some kind.

These little repairs are going to kill me, I've had the car err 2 weeks now, don't even have my lisence (august 26th seems so far away) and All I've done is pesky little repairs. And Squee.. if the tube ain't broke it ain't commin out, I don't know how mechanically inclined you are but for me its really hit and miss. If things go all huey then I really don't have the experience to get my self out of trouble. But I like trying stuff
But its all good, I've got my wheels, Intake, and Exhaust comming sometime next week. Whenever the UPS man shows up
Then its suspension

The only way to learn is to do. The tubes come out. Just put some muscle on 'em. But I do understand. It's tough, especially if it's your first car. Take your time. Eventually you'll feel more froggy and decide to leap into tougher things.
