Once again people think i am bashing when all that really happened is that my point was missed. If you want to build up your 4 cyl. fine go right ahead. let me try and make it very plain what i am saying.

main point:
A stock 4 cyl (lets say a civic) with a flowmaster and a cai is not gonna be fast.

second point:

If you spend the money a 4 cyl can dust a v8

my thing is that i get sick and tired of the comment that ( this happens alot around here ) that my car can take a 5.0. (and yes to who ever the moron is that said "they are 4.9's and blah blah blah i know that. as i said i have had lots of cars) i am not certified but i am a pretty damn good mechanic. and i know a helluva lot about cars. I have no problem with anyone doing whatever they want to to whatever car. I have had some really fast 4 cyl's. and i have also had some fast v8's. I will say it again. I have no problem with anyone fixing up whatever thay want. but here again is my point. If you are some know nothing punk. that has never actually been in a fast car. then don't tell me your car is competive on that level. your exhaust and your cai really don't do much of anything on a car that is designed for economy and family purposes. If you know what you are doing you can make em fast. I sure hope that everyone sees what i am trying to say now.

Personally, I like telling people that ask what I'm doing with the car. Most people are too ignorant to realize that yes, you can put a turbo on a Neon and make 300whp.

 

yes you can turbo a neon and get 300 + if you know what you are doing and have the cash. and the end result is a badass little car. that can outrun alot of hopped up v8's. this is true. my thing is people talk all kinda trash about how fast their car is when they have done little of nothing to it. and what they have done has resulted in more harm than good.


ok squee here we go. the 4.9 is a 302 (yes i know you probally allready know this) a true 5.0 is a 305. now that that is over with. you may be 27 but spot off like a 17 yr old. heres some advice for the future. how about asking someone to clarify before you go and get all upset. from the get-go i had a comment to make and it was taken way out of proportion and now this thread has gone way off topic.

just incase anyone cares i have a 2001 lx neon and a 96 5spd. and guess what? i have a turbo sitting in my basement that is a rebuilt t3. i could very easily put this on my car and i also know all of the other things i have to do along with it. i have a few different innercoolers. blowoff valves. just about everything i need. but i am going to school and will be selling my 96. my point once again from the beginning is that 100 dollars in aftermarket stuff ( unless you get one of those cheater nitrous sys.'s) will not make your car competitive.

lets just be friends and try and contain ourselves and conduct ourselves as adults.

And I shouldn't have to ask for clarity. You should already know how to clearly convey a point which you so did not do. Which is what sparked this whole thing. Now, since youa re probably selling your 96 Neon would you be interested in selling off some of that turbo equipment? I've been looking for a few things.

I need an FMIC, RRFPR and that's about it.
