Default 10W30?

is this the basic oil that goes into a 1999 neon? or is it 10W40?

At the dealership that I work at we put 10W30 in everything except the 300Cs and the Crosfires.

It says in my owners manual 5W-30 is recommended. The one time the dealer changed my oil they put 10W-30 in though I believe. Look in your owners manual, probably 10W-30 or 5W-30 is what they suggest.

The dealer recommeded 10W-30 synthetic although the owner's manual does say 5W-30 like NeonSXT04 said. Of course it gets hotter down here than in many parts of the country, and most folks run at least a 10W-30 in the summer.

For winter I'm going with Amsoil 0W-30 since most engine wear occurs at startup...
