Default transmission problem

hello,
i just bought a '99 dodge neon about a week ago. it seemed fine when i first test-drove it, but now the transmission is starting to jerk when the gear changes from 1st to 2nd.
i checked the fluid, but nothing's wrong with it. [:'(]
can anyone tell me what the problem is? also, any advise on how to fix the problem? thanks.
oh, and it's a sohc engine with 94,000 miles. i was told that it's mostly highway miles.

Yes, Manual or Auto?

And you could try servicing it. Just because the fluid level looks good doesn't mean it is good.

Try doing a flush, filter change. If you do it yourself make sure you use the correct fluid. Do not use that lucas crap it may work but it just masks the problem and just for the information a dealer will void any warenty you have if you do.
